The MSC provides Ethernet and RS-232 maintenance ports;
a MIDI Port and 4 software configurable RS-232/422 Serial Ports
typically used to interface to serially controlled devices
such as Laser Disk Players, CD Players, Video Switchers,
Lighting Control Boards, and Programmable Logic Controllers.
In addition there is a DMX-512 Port for control of Dimmers,
Moving Lights, and other DMX-512 controlled devices. Each Port is configurable for software and hardware protocol using the Media Pro 4000 Software. Since each Port can be configured for a specific protocol, the MP4000 programmer doesn't have to learn a new language for each type of device. The programmer can use the Media Pro Control Language (MPCL) to access and control the devices using the same language. An external video device can provide video sync to the MSC for synchronizing Cues and Animation with Video. The MSC-4400 can be networked with other MSCs or ICM-4020Es and ICM-4030s via the MediaPro Networking Ethernet Port In addition, The MSC Has options for up to five (5) Media Pro 4400 Family Expansion Modules, some of the options are TCM-4410 (SMPTE LTC Timecode), DSM-4410 (Audio playback) and IOM-4410 (Digital Inputs/Outputs). If in the future your attraction requires more Media Pro 4000 Modules you can network MSC-4400s together with other MSC-4400s or ICM-4020Es and ICM-4030s in VMRs. You can also download your configuration, cues, and animation to an ICM in a Vertical Module Rack, and add the additional modules you require; thereby protecting your original design and programming investment. |
